Mission Statement
The mission of the Family Health Services Division of the Alameda County Public Health Department is to improve the health and well-being of our diverse families with compassionate, comprehensive and collaborative services.
Division Components
California Children's ServicesProvides diagnostic and treatment services, medical case management and physical and occupational therapy services to children/youth under 21 who have chronic, disabling or life threatening conditions. |
Child Health & Disability PreventionA preventive program providing periodic health exams and care coordination to children (birth through age 20), including children and youth in Foster Care. |
Developmental Disabilities CouncilThe Developmental Disabilities Council provides a forum for discussion, advocacy, and program and policy planning for individuals with developmental disabilities, their families and service providers. |
Maternal, Paternal, Child & Adolescent HealthThe unit provides prevention, health education and information, support services, policy and advocacy for teens, pregnant women, mothers, fathers, caregivers, and children. |
