East Oakland Building Healthy Communities: Economic Opportunities

Building Healthy Communities is a 10-year effort hosted by The California Endowment to support the development of communities where kids and youth are healthy, safe and ready to learn. Among the 14 communities throughout California, ACHPP supports the East Oakland Building Healthy Communities Workgroup for Health Access and Economic Opportunities.

The Economic Opportunities workgroup aims to increase job readiness and training or East Oakland residents, increase the number of living wage jobs for East Oakland residents with emphasis on formerly incarcerated residents, and increased income and wealth of East Oakland residents with emphasis on restructuring governmental framework.
