Mental Health Services Act
The Department of Developmental Services receives Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) funds for regional centers to develop and oversee innovative projects. Our local regional center, Regional Center of the East Bay, was awarded a three year MHSA grant, and has partnered with the Alameda County Public Health Department and Alegria Community Living to implement grant activities.
This grant will support the outreach, engagement and training components of the Schreiber Center, and in so doing, will increase access to mental health treatment by impacting the stigma and discrimination that prevents the development of referral pathways for adults with developmental disabilities who may be experiencing severe mental health symptoms.
